My clinical practice involves work with adults and children and parents. I work with adults experiencing a broad range of mental health problems, such as depression and anxiety, and I have a special interest in working with adults who may have been diagnosed as having Borderline Personality Disorder. I offer Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) & am able to offer DBT Skills Groups from time to time when I have enough numbers. I have a special interest in working with parents & carers of children, especially around adoption and foster care issues & those who have experienced attachment trauma problems. I also run Parent Education courses, the Tuning in to Kids program (developed at the University of Melbourne & based on emotional intelligence principles). I am interested in running Resilience-based courses, and run these from time to time in conjunction with the Victorian child welfare agency, Ozchild. I intend to run the Drumbeat resilience program at some time in 2010. More information on all these programs is available on my website, www.djeffrey.id.au.
